Tadej Pogačar ha vuelto a ampliar su contrato con el UAE Team Emirates, añadiendo otros dos años a su contrato actual para llevarlo hasta el final de la temporada 2026.
El campeón del Tour de Francia tiene ahora un contrato de seis años, el más largo de todos los ciclistas del pelotón profesional, lo que refleja la importancia del esloveno de 22 años para el futuro del equipo.
Pogačar recientemente se llevó a casa el título general en la carrera de casa del equipo, el Tour de los Emiratos Árabes Unidos, después de lo cual puso por escrito el nuevo acuerdo.

Pogačar se convirtió en profesional con el UAE Team Emirates en 2019 y tuvo un impacto instantáneo. Después de ganar la Volta ao Algarve y el Tour de California, el equipo le entregó una extensión a largo plazo en junio, llevándolo hasta finales de 2023.
En mayo de 2020, luego de ganar tres etapas y terminar en el podio final de su primer Gran Tour, la Vuelta a España, firmó otra prórroga, esta vez agregando un año más.
Pogačar ganó el Tour de Francia en septiembre del año pasado, asaltando la contrarreloj del penúltimo día para arrebatarle el maillot amarillo a su compatriota Primož Roglič.

The Tour de France champion is now effectively on a six-year contract, the longest of any rider in the pro peloton, reflecting the importance of the 22-year-old Slovenian to the team’s future.
Pogačar recently brought home the overall title at the team’s home race, the UAE Tour, after which he put pen to paper on the new deal.

Pogačar turned professional with UAE Team Emirates in 2019 and made an instant impact. After winning the Volta ao Algarve and Tour of California, the team handed him a long-term extension in June, taking him through to the end of 2023.
In May 2020, after he won three stages and finished on the final podium at his first Grand Tour – the Vuelta a España – he signed another extension, this time adding another year.
Pogačar went on to win the Tour de France in September last year, storming the penultimate-day time trial to snatch the yellow jersey from his compatriot Primož Roglič.
Five months on from that debut, and tipped for many more three-week titles, he has committed his long-term future to the team.
