Donovan Mitchell anota 45, Jazz supera a los Clippers
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) Donovan Mitchell no se sintió como de costumbre durante toda la mitad.
El base de los Utah Jazz luchó con un ataque de náuseas y aturdimiento antes del medio tiempo del martes por la noche. Se sintió aún peor después de su desempeño individual en ataque y defensa.
«No hice muchas cosas bien para mi equipo en la primera mitad, y me comió», dijo Mitchell.
Mitchell hizo prácticamente todo bien en la segunda mitad.
Anotó 45 puntos y llevó al Jazz a una victoria por 112-109 sobre Los Angeles Clippers en el Juego 1 de su serie de semifinales de la Conferencia Oeste.
Mitchell impuso su voluntad ofensivamente después del medio tiempo, anotando 32 puntos para sacar al Jazz de un déficit de dos dígitos. Jordan Clarkson y Bojan Bogdanovic aportaron 18 puntos cada uno. Mitchell y Clarkson se combinaron para 12 triples.
Kawhi Leonard anotó 23 puntos para liderar a Los Ángeles. Paul George aportó 20 puntos y 11 rebotes. Luke Kennard agregó 18 puntos al hacer cuatro triples, la más alta del equipo.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) Donovan Mitchell did not feel like his usual self for an entire half.
The Utah Jazz guard struggled with a bout of nausea and light-headedness before halftime Tuesday night. He felt even worse after his individual performance on offense and defense.
»I didn’t do a lot of things right for my team in the first half, and it ate at me,» Mitchell said.
Mitchell did virtually everything right in the second half.
He scored 45 points and lifted the Jazz to a 112-109 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 1 of their Western Conference semifinals series.
Mitchell imposed his will offensively after halftime, scoring 32 points to rally the Jazz from a double-digit deficit. Jordan Clarkson and Bojan Bogdanovic chipped in 18 points apiece. Mitchell and Clarkson combined for 12 3-pointers.
Kawhi Leonard scored 23 points to lead Los Angeles. Paul George chipped in 20 points and 11 rebounds. Luke Kennard added 18 points while making a team-high four 3-pointers.
Utah and Los Angeles will play Game 2 on Thursday in Salt Lake City.
