Alberto Contador Campeon del Giro d'Italia....

In a thrilling finale to the 2015 Giro d’Italia, Iljo Keisse (Etixx-QuickStep) out-foxed Orica-GreenEdge’s Luke Durbridge in a two-up sprint to take the stage 21 win in Milan ahead of the quickly closing field.

Alberto Contador finished safely with his Tinkoff-Saxo team to claim the overall win ahead of Astana’s Fabio Aru and Mikel Landa.

Keisse and Durbridge escaped as the peloton entered the final circuits in Milan, building a workable advantage as the sprinters’ teams looked to each other to pick up the chase. The lead duo cooperated until the final kilometre, where Keisse forced Durbridge to the front and refused to pull through.

With the field closing in, Durbridge tried to coax Keisse to take a turn, but the Orica rider had to jump first with 200 metres to go, and Keisse easily came around him well before the line to seal the win.
