SINGAPORE – After winning her opening match at the Kremlin Cup on Wednesday, Flavia Pennetta has become the seventh qualifier for the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global.
Pennetta, who made world headlines in the summer by winning her first Grand Slam title at the US Open then announcing she would retire at the end of the year, joins Simona Halep, Maria Sharapova, Garbiñe Muguruza, Petra Kvitova, Agnieszka Radwanska and Angelique Kerber in the field.
The Italian veteran will be playing the final WTA event of her career at the Singapore Sports Hub.
