Los nombres de los finalistas a los premios FIFA Ballon d’Or al mejor jugador de 2015 y a la Jugadora Mundial de la FIFA de 2015 se han hecho públicos en FIFA.com, francefootball.fr y en el canal de la FIFA de YouTube en un acto presentado por Kate Abdo (Sky Sports), y que también ha contado con los análisis de Nadine Kessler (jugadora de la selección alemana y ganadora del premio a la Jugadora Mundial de la FIFA de 2014) y de Edgar Davis (ex internacional holandés, campeón de la Liga de Campeones de la UEFA de la temporada 1994/1995).
Por orden alfabético, estos son los nominados al Balón de Oro de la FIFA 2015: Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal/Real Madrid CF), Lionel Messi (Argentina/FC Barcelona) y Neymar (Brasil/FC Barcelona). Por parte del fútbol femenino, estas son las candidatas al máximo galardón individual: Carli Lloyd (EEUU/Houston Dash), Aya Miyama (Japón/Okayama Yunogo Belle) y Célia Šašić (Alemania/1. FFC Frankfurt).
Asimismo, se han dado a conocer los candidatos a los premios al Mejor Entrenador de la FIFA tanto de fútbol masculino como de fútbol femenino. Por orden alfabético, estos son los candidatos:
Pep Guardiola (España/Bayern de Múnich), Luis Enrique Martínez (España/FC Barcelona) y Jorge Sampaoli (Argentina/selección nacional de Chile) al Entrenador Mundial de la FIFA de Fútbol Masculino. Por lo que respecta al galardón al Entrenador de la FIFA de Fútbol Femenino: Jill Ellis (EEUU/selección nacional de EEUU), Mark Sampson (Gales/selección nacional de Inglaterra) y Norio Sasaki (Japón/selección nacional de Japón).
Todos los nominados fueron seleccionados mediante un proceso de votación en el que participaron los capitanes y los seleccionadores nacionales de fútbol masculino y femenino de 207 federaciones de la FIFA, así como miembros de la prensa internacional seleccionados por la FIFA y France Football.
The contenders for this year’s FIFA Ballon d’Or Award for the best player of 2015 and for the FIFA Women’s World Player of the Year 2015 Award have been announced today on FIFA.com, francefootball.fr and on FIFA’s YouTube channel in a show hosted by Kate Abdo (Sky Sports) with expert analysis from Nadine Kessler (German national team player and FIFA Women’s World Player of the Year 2014) and Edgar Davids (former Dutch national team player and winner of the UEFA Champions League 1994-1995).
