Praga, República Checa – La cabeza de serie Nº 2 Lucie Safarova disparó 14 aces para superar a la cabeza de serie Nº 4 Samantha Stosur, y ganar la batalla de ex finalistas del Abierto de Francia, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4, para lograr el título J&T Banka Prague Open.
Entrando a este evento de nivel internacional en Praga, Safarova no había ganado un partido de individuales durante todo el año. De hecho, ni siquiera había ganado un set hasta la semana pasada en Stuttgart, luchando por encontrar su forma desde que regresó de la infección bacteriana que le afectó a finales del 2015 y la obligó a saltarse el Abierto de Australia.
Pero la finalista del Abierto de Francia del año pasado alcanzó su punto máximo justo en el momento adecuado, motivada por su afición se recuperó de un set e contra para ganar su primer título del año.

Heading into the International-level event in Prague, Safarova hadn’t won a singles match all year. In fact, she hadn’t even won a set until last week in Stuttgart, still struggling to find her form since returning from the bacterial infection that sidelined her at the end of 2015 and forced her to skip the Australian Open.
But last year’s French Open finalist peaked just at the right time, powered by her adoring home crowd to recover from a one-set deficit for her first title of the year.
