The German rider Marcel Kittel (Etixx – Quick-Step) has won Stage 3 of the 99th Giro d’Italia in a bunch sprint at the end of a 190km stage from Nijmegen to Arnhem. Elia Viviani (Team Sky) and Giacomo Nizzolo (Trek – Segafredo) finished second and third.
Thanks to his victory, Kittel is the new race General Classification leader, and takes the Maglia Rosa.
