Jarlinson Pantano (IAM Cycling) took out the biggest victory of his career and his first Grand Tour stage in Culoz on stage 15 of the Tour de France. The Colombian bridged across to Rafal Majka (Tinkoff) on the descent from the Lacets du Grand Colombier, then out-sprinted the Polish champion to take the win from the day’s breakaway.
Jarlinson Pantano scored the sixteenth Colombian stage victory at the Tour de France and the first one for IAM Cycling, the only professional Swiss team, the day before the Tour de France will visit Switzerland. It’s the second participation to the race (19th overall in 2015) for the climber from Cali who also claimed the last stage of the Tour de Suisse last month. He outsprinted Rafal Majka who moved back into the lead of the King of the Mountain classification he won in 2014, the other year his captain Alberto Contador withdrew from the race. Once more, Nairo Quintana didn’t put Chris Froome’s lead in jeopardy but Colombia had a reason to celebrate with Pantano’s first Tour de France success.

El Colombiano Jarlinson Pantano del IAM, logro el trounfo más importante de su carrera al ganar a etapa 15 del Tour de France con llegada en Culoz. El Pedalista Vallecaucano de 27 años superó en la llegada a Rafal Majika del Tinkoff con quien realizo una de las escapadas mas importantes de la etapa, aprovechando que el líder Christopher Froome y hombres como Nairon Quintana se realizaban una marca personal….ademas de Fabio Aru y Alejandro Valverde entre otros.
Mjaka y Pantano se desprendieron del lote en el ascenso de 10 kilometros, cuando quedaban 14 para la meta.
La victoria de Pantano es la numero 16 para pedalistas Colombianos en el Tour y la primera para su equipo Suizo IAM, antes de que la vuelta ingrese a terreitorio de ese pais. en su segunda participacion en el Tour, despues de terminar 19 en el 2015. El mes pasado Pantano se habia adjudicado el Tour de Suiza.
Christopher Froome supera otra dura prueba y se mantiene solido en la general ahora a 1.47 del segundo Mollema. Quintana se mantuvo cuarto a 2.59.
