Great Britain’s Libby Clegg clinched her second gold medal at Rio 2016 with a blistering sprint in the women’s 200m T11 on Tuesday night (13 September) at the Olympic Stadium.
With guide Chris Clarke, she added the title to her 100m win four nights earlier and defeated the double Chinese threat of world champion Liu Cuiqing and Zhou Guohua who took silver and bronze, respectively. Clegg won silver medals in the 100m and 200m at London 2012 in the T12 classification has since been reclassified because her sight has degenerated further. Brazil’s charismatic darling, Terezinha Guilhermina, was disqualified for a false start by jumping the gun in her desire to deliver a medal for the passionate home crowd.

La Brasileña Terezinha Guilhermina, fue descalificada por un inicio incorrecto al saltar antes de pistoletazo, pero fue ovacionada por los fanaticos locales.
