Tras un r\u00e1pido descenso, Ur\u00e1n se dirigi\u00f3 a casa en Maulac\u00e8ne con los otros dos favoritos en el quinto puesto. Con O&#8217;Connor fuera del cuadro por el d\u00eda, el segundo lugar en la general fue casi autom\u00e1tico para reclamarlo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ur\u00e1n ocup\u00f3 el segundo lugar en el Tour de Francia 2017 cuando termin\u00f3 en el segundo lugar detr\u00e1s de Chris Froome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sportseco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/cyh2g4E5Ckhcu9jofAqs-970-80.jpg?w=640&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-111356\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Veteran\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingnews.com\/riders\/rigoberto-urn\/\">Rigoberto Ur\u00e1n<\/a>\u00a0(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingnews.com\/road\/teams\/uci-worldtour\/2021\/ef-education-nippo\/\">EF Education-Nippo<\/a>) has moved up to second overall in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingnews.com\/tour-de-france\/\">Tour de France<\/a>\u00a0standings almost by default after Australian rival Ben O&#8217;Connor cracked on the Mont Ventoux on stage 11.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ur\u00e1n looked in great shape almost all the way up the Ventoux, only falling back after Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo-Visma) attacked and Tadej Poga\u010dar (UAE Team Emirates) bridged across.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But the Colombian and Richard Carapaz (Ineos Grenadiers) then caught up with a struggling Poga\u010dar. Following a fast descent, Ur\u00e1n powered home in Maulac\u00e8ne with the two other favourites in the fifth spot.
