Harry Kane scored twice, including a header deep into second-half stoppage time, as Tottenham Hotspur overcame Manchester 3-2 in a dramatic encounter at the Etihad Stadium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dejan Kulusevski broke the deadlock just four minutes into his first Spurs start, finishing through Joao Cancelo’s legs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Having hit the post 10 minutes earlier Ilkay Gundogan levelled shortly after the half-hour, capitalising on the loose ball after Hugo Lloris had spilled it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

City controlled possession at the start of the second half but Spurs took the lead for a second time through Kane, who converted Son Heung-min’s cross on the half-volley just before the hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After Cristian Romero had handled in the area Riyad Mahrez thought he had earned City a last-gasp point from the penalty spot, but there was still time for another twist. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kane stole a march on Ruben Dias and headed home in the fifth minute of added time to earn Spurs a first league double over the reigning Premier League champions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A first victory in four matches lifts Spurs to seventh place, on 39 points, four points behind fourth-placed Manchester United, who have played two more matches. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

City’s lead at the top of the table now stands at six points, with Pep Guardiola’s team having played a match more than second-placed Liverpool. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
