Los mares y oc\u00e9anos del mundo han absorbido m\u00e1s del 90 por ciento del calor de esos gases, pero los oc\u00e9anos est\u00e1n sufriendo las consecuencias:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.noaa.gov\/news\/2021-was-worlds-6th-warmest-year-on-record\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">en 2021 se estableci\u00f3 un nuevo r\u00e9cord<\/a>&nbsp;de calentamiento oce\u00e1nico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El aumento del nivel del mar es uno de los efectos del cambio clim\u00e1tico y el calentamiento global. De media, los niveles del mar han subido&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.globalchange.gov\/browse\/indicators\/global-sea-level-rise\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">unos 23 cent\u00edmetros desde 1880, y casi la mitad de esos cent\u00edmetros han aumentado en los \u00faltimos 25 a\u00f1os<\/a>. Cada a\u00f1o, el mar&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/climate.nasa.gov\/vital-signs\/sea-level\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sube otros 3,4 mil\u00edmetros<\/a>. Un&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.noaa.gov\/news-release\/us-coastline-to-see-up-to-foot-of-sea-level-rise-by-2050\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">nuevo estudio<\/a>&nbsp;publicado el 15 de febrero de 2022 muestra que el ritmo de subida de nivel del mar se est\u00e1 acelerando y se espera que, en Estados Unidos, aumente 30 cent\u00edmetros de aqu\u00ed a 2050.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Esto implica que en los pr\u00f3ximos 30 a\u00f1os el nivel del mar subir\u00e1 tanto como en el \u00faltimo siglo, seg\u00fan afirma la Administraci\u00f3n Oce\u00e1nica y Atmosf\u00e9rica Nacional de Estados Unidos (NOAA) en su&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/oceanservice.noaa.gov\/hazards\/sealevelrise\/sealevelrise-tech-report.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00faltimos datos t\u00e9cnicos<\/a>, que actualiza las predicciones de 2017 con estimaciones m\u00e1s precisas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rick Spinrad, administrador de la NOAA, calific\u00f3 los descubrimientos de \u201chist\u00f3ricos\u201d y avis\u00f3 que el aumento del nivel del mar ocurrir\u00e1 pase lo que pase, incluso con un recorte dr\u00e1stico de las emisiones de carbono.
