Tras una reuni\u00f3n del Grupo Asesor de Seguridad en Goodison Park, a la que asistieron funcionarios de ambos clubes, as\u00ed como representantes de la Polic\u00eda de Merseyside y el Ayuntamiento de Liverpool esta ma\u00f1ana, se decidi\u00f3 que, debido al riesgo para la seguridad en el \u00e1rea local y la advertencia de viento severo \u00e1mbar que permanece vigente hasta las 06:00 GMT del domingo, el encuentro de hoy deber\u00eda posponerse por motivos de seguridad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El aplazamiento se debe al mal tiempo severo y los fuertes vientos de la tormenta Darragh. Los fuertes vientos de la noche tambi\u00e9n han provocado graves interrupciones de los viajes en Merseyside y sus alrededores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Premier League fixture between Everton and Liverpool scheduled for Saturday 7 December 12:30 GMT has been postponed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following a Safety Advisory Group meeting at Goodison Park, attended by officials from both clubs, as well as representatives from Merseyside Police and Liverpool City Council this morning, it was decided that, due to the risk to safety in the local area and the amber severe wind warning that remains in place until 06:00 GMT on Sunday, today\u2019s fixture should be postponed on safety grounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The postponement is as a consequence of severe bad weather and high winds from Storm Darragh. High winds overnight has also resulted in severe travel disruption in and around Merseyside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Any further information will be shared as and when it becomes available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a statement, Everton said: \u00abAll tickets purchased for the original fixture will remain valid for the rearranged fixture.\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n
