Al reconocer la importancia del multilateralismo para hacer frente a la triple crisis planetaria de la Tierra – el clima, la naturaleza y la contaminación – Estocolmo+50 servirá de trampolín para acelerar la aplicación de la Década de Acción de las Naciones Unidas para alcanzar los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible, incluida la Agenda 2030, el Acuerdo de París sobre el cambio climático, el Marco Mundial de Biodiversidad posterior a 2020, y fomentar la adopción de planes de recuperación verdes posteriores a la crisis de la COVID-19.
La FAO está dirigiendo y codirigiendo una serie de eventos como socio clave en cuestiones medioambientales relacionadas con los sistemas agroalimentarios.
