Playing the tournament for the first time, Woods shot a 6-under-par 64 at soggy Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C., to get on the first page of the leaderboard.
This was Woods’ lowest round since he fired a 65 in the third round last March in the 2014 Honda Classic.
