The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) said Wednesday it had a representative monitoring Floyd Mayweather’s use of an intravenous infusion the night before his fight against Manny Pacquiao on May 2.

News of Mayweather’s IV treatment, which included a mixture of saline and vitamins, was first reported last week by SB Nation. The article reported that Mayweather was in violation of the World Anti-Doping Agency’s code, although he was in compliance with Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) guidelines.

On the day of the Mayweather-Berto fight, NSAC executive director Bob Bennett said: “Mr. Mayweather has done nothing wrong. The Nevada State Athletic Commission has no interest in any type of investigation regarding his IV. He did not violate the WADA Prohibited List for any type of drugs that are prohibited on that list, and we have no interest in it whatsoever.”
