The Heat fear that the calf issue that caused Chris Bosh to miss the All-Star Game this weekend could be “another potentially serious health situation,” Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.

Bosh missed the game in Toronto with what was termed a calf strain. Bosh missed the final three months of last season with blood clots in his lungs, which were likely caused by a bruise on his calf suffered earlier in the season. Bosh opened up about the near-death experience to Sports Illustrated’s Lee Jenkins.

Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press reports that the fear is Bosh could have a recurrence of blood clots. Bosh’s agent told Jackson that it is too soon to tell whether the clots have returned.
