Continúa la vigorosa erupción de lava desde el sistema de fisuración de la zona del East Rift Zone (LERZ) en el área de Leilani Estates y Lanipuna Gardens.
Durante la noche, los equipos de campo confirmaron que el flujo rápido que estalló alrededor de las 7 PM HST del domingo por la noche se originó en la Fisura 8. La fisura alimentó un flujo canalizado que se movió hacia el norte a lo largo del margen del flujo existente antes de girar hacia el este y cruzar Leilani Estates cerca de la intersección de las calles Kahukai y Hookupu. A partir de las 8 AM HST del lunes por la mañana había comenzado a cruzar Pohoiki Road, pero la velocidad de avance se redujo de cientos de metros por hora el domingo por la noche a unos pocos metros por hora esta mañana.
Las fisuras 6/13 están inactivas, y la fisura 9 se reactiva pero en erupción pequeñas cantidades de lava que se agrupan cerca. La fisura 7/21 ya no está activa y los flujos de lava de esa fisura se han estancado en gran medida en la propiedad de PGV.

Vigorous eruption of lava continues from the lower East Rift Zone (LERZ) fissure system in the area of Leilani Estates and Lanipuna Gardens.
Overnight, field crews confirmed that the fast-moving flow that broke out at about 7 PM HST Sunday night originated from Fissure 8. The fissure fed a channelized flow that moved north along the margin of the existing flow before turning east and crossing out of Leilani Estates near the intersection of Kahukai and Hookupu streets. As of 8 AM HST Monday morning it had started to cross Pohoiki Road, but the advance rate slowed from hundreds of meters (yards) per hour on Sunday night to a few meters (yards) per hour this morning.
Fissures 6/13 are inactive, and Fissure 9 is reactivated but erupting small amounts of lava that are pooling nearby. Fissure 7/21 are no longer active and lava flows from that fissure have largely stalled on PGV property.
