NEW YORK — Tyler Johnson had a hat trick, his fourth multigoal game of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, to help the Tampa Bay Lightning defeat the New York Rangers 6-2 in Game 2 and even the Eastern Conference Final at Madison Square Garden on Monday.
Johnson, who scored shorthanded, on a power play and at even strength, has 11 goals this postseason. Alex Killorn scored twice and had an assist, Steven Stamkos had one goal and one assist, and Ben Bishop made 35 saves for the Lightning.
It was the first playoff hat trick by a Lightning player.
