Los Florida Panthers regresaron despues de 6 partidos de visitantes y perdieron 2-4 frente a Los Edmonton Oilers, despues de dos primeros periodos donde sufrieron 3 goles por desconecentraciones del equipo y equivocaciones en la perdida del puck…pero como los parrtidos duran 3 periodos en el tercer volvimos a ver a Los Florida Panthers que son lideres de la division Atlantico en la Conferencia del Este y con goles de Smith y Quinton Howden se acerco a un 2-3 y estuvieron a punto de igualar, pero cuando el tecnico Gallan ordena la salida del portero Montoya para ganarse un hombre extra, se perdio el puck y llego el cuarto…2-4 final y ahora a esperar a los Campeones de la Stanley Cup, Chicago el viernes y a Pampa Bay el sabado….
SUNRISE, Fla. — Taylor Hall had two goals to break out of his scoring slump and help the Edmonton Oilers defeat the Florida Panthers 4-2 on Monday.
Jordan Eberle and Teddy Purcell scored for the Oilers (19-23-5), who won at BB&T Center for the seventh consecutive time dating to the 2002-03 season; the previous five victories came in overtime or a shootout. Purcell had two assists.
Edmonton goalie Cam Talbot, making his first start since signing a three-year contract extension Sunday, had 30 saves.
The Oilers came in with an NHL-low five road victories and had lost seven in a row away from Rexall Place. It was their first win on the road since defeating the Boston Bruins 3-2 in overtime on Dec. 14.
Edmonton led 3-0 after two periods before Florida made things interesting in the final 20 minutes. Purcell put the game away with an empty-net goal with 1:28 remaining.
Reilly Smith and Quinton Howden scored for the Panthers (26-15-5), who have lost four in a row since a 12-game winning streak, the longest in their history. Florida hasn’t won since defeating Edmonton 2-1 at Rexall Place on Jan. 10.
