The Miami HEAT defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 122-101 Saturday night at AmericanAirlines Arena. Dwyane Wade led the way for the HEAT with 24 points.

While Wade had a solid first half, he really got cooking in the third quarter. The vet simply went off in the third with attacks to the rim, difficult mid-range jumpers and even a tip-in for good measure. Of course, he also surpassed the 20,000-point mark with a nice floater in transition with 10:21 to go in the quarter.
After that field goal, it seemed like Wade flipped a switch to kick it into another gear, as he scored 14 of his 24 points in the third on 7-of-9 shooting. In addition to his 24 points, the 34-year-old also tallied four boards, four assists and a steal on the night. As a result of Wade’s milestone, the crowd gave him multiple well-deserved standing ovations. Quite simply, it was a special moment for a truly special player.
Wade is the 41st player to score 20,000, doing so in his 844th game, and the ninth active one.

Con Wade teniendo una solida primera mitad, sabia que estaba cerca de la marca y asi conitnuo en el terer cuarto, cuando faltando 10.21 por jugar llego a la marca de los 2o mil puntos….y despues confirmaria su noche con 14 de sus 24 puntos en el tercer cuarto, ademas de 4 asistencias y un robo….Como balance el veterano de 34 años recibio una ovación de pie en una noche muy especial para el equipo y para el jugador…
Dwyane Wade es apenas el jugador numero 41 en la historia de la liga en llegar a 20 mil puntos o mas y lo consiguió en 844 partidos y es el noveno en plena actividad.
