Barely a day after the 19-year-old Russian completed the biggest victory of her career against World No.1 Angelique Kerber, Kasatkina couldn’t pull off another upset against the No.6 seed Konta, falling 6-3, 7-5.
She’s set to face Eugenie Bouchard for a spot in the final after the Canadian took out Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in straight sets earlier in the day.
