Victor Hedman scored, and Louis Domingue made 29 saves for the Lightning (49-19-4), who are 10-2-1 in their past 13 games. Tampa Bay leads the Atlantic by four points over the Boston Bruins, who have two games in hand.
The Lightning clinched when the New Jersey Devils lost to the Anaheim Ducks 4-2 later Sunday.
Ty Rattie scored, and Al Montoya made 37 saves for the Oilers (31-36-5), who are 4-2-1 in their past seven games. Edmonton is 17 points behind the Los Angeles Kings for the second wild card into the playoffs from the Western Conference.
