Roger Federer can now add the Shanghai Rolex Masters to his overflowing collection of trophies after defeating Gilles Simon 7-6 (6), 7-6 (2) in Sunday’s final to win the tournament for the first time in his career. Playing in his tour-leading ninth final of the season, Federer captured his fourth title of the season and 81st career title. To top off his amazing week in Shanghai, he will return to the No. 2 ranking for the first time since May of last year.
