NEW YORK – St. Louis Blues right wing Vladimir Tarasenko, Florida Panthers center Vincent Trocheck and New Jersey Devils goaltender Keith Kinkaid have been named the NHL’s «Three Stars» for the week ending March 13.
Trocheck paced the NHL with five assists and tied for the League lead with six points in three games to lift the Panthers (38-21-9, 85 points) to five out of a possible six standings points. He notched one assist in a 5-4 overtime loss to the Boston Bruins March 7. Trocheck then recorded 1-3-4, matching career highs for assists and points in one game, in a 6-2 victory over the Ottawa Senators March 10. He closed the week with one assist in a 5-4 shootout win against the Philadelphia Flyers March 12. The 22-year-old Pittsburgh native, who is playing in his third NHL season, ranks third on the Panthers with 20-26-46 in 68 contests – setting career highs in all three scoring categories.
