SUNRISE, Fla. – The National Hockey League announced today that Pavel Bure, Jaromir Jagr, Joe Nieuwendyk, Bobby Clarke and Fox Panthers Broadcaster Denis Potvin have been named to the NHL’s 100 Greatest Players.

The Hall of Fame forward earned two consecutive Maurice Richard Trophy with Florida, scoring 58 goals in 74 games in the 1999-00 season and 59 goals in 82 games in the 2000-01 season. The Moscow, Russia native appeared in two NHL All-Star Games representing the Panthers (2000, 2001).

Bure played 702 NHL games for the Vancouver Canucks (1991-1999), Panthers and New York Rangers (2002-03), recording 779 points (437-342-779).

The Kladno, Czech Republic native represented the Panthers at the 2016 NHL All-Star Game as captain of the Atlantic Division and received the 2016 Bill Masterton Trophy.

Jagr has won two Stanley Cups (1991, 1992) and has recorded 1,897 points (758-1,139-1,897) in 1,679 NHL games for the Pittsburgh Penguins (1990-01), Washington Capitals (2001-04), New York Rangers (2004-2008), Philadelphia Flyers (2011-12), Dallas Stars (2012-13), Boston Bruins (2013), New Jersey Devils (2013-15) and Florida (2015-present).

Named to the 1990’s centers class, Nieuwendyk joined the Panthers in the 2005-06 season and recorded 64 points (31-33-64) in 80 games (2005-07). The Oshawa, Ontario native won three Stanley Cups (1989, 1999, 2003) and played 1,257 NHL games for the Calgary Flames (1986-1995), Dallas (1995-2002), New Jersey (2002-03), Toronto Maple Leafs (2003-04) and Florida (2005-07), recording 1,126 points (564-562-1,126).

Named to the 1970’s centers class, Clarke served as the Panthers first general manager during the team’s inaugural season (1993-94) setting an expansion team record for wins (33) and points (83). The Hall of Fame native of Flin Flon, Manitoba won two Stanley Cups (1974, 1975) and played 1,134 NHL games all for Philadelphia, recording 1,210 points (358-852-1,210).

Named to the 1980’s defenseman class, Potvin has been a part of the Panthers broadcast team as color analyst from 1993-2009 and 2014-present. The Hall of Fame blueliner from Ottawa, Ontario won four Stanley Cups (1980, 1981, 1982, 1983) and played 1,060 NHL games all for the New York Islanders, recording 1,052 points (310-742-1,052).
