La revancha a la pelea del pasado mes de septiembre, entre el invicto Campeon de los Medianos Gennady Golovkin y el Mexicano Saul «Canelo» Alvarez, esta programada para el 5 de mayo, se anunció hoy.
El escenario del pleito Golovkin-Alvarez, esta por determinarse. los detalles en torno al lugar y venta de boletos, seran anunciados en los proximos dias, pero se anticipo que sera un PPV de HBO a las 8PM.
El detalles del pleito se finiquitaron el sabado en el Forum de inglewood, California, cuando Oscar de la Hoya, promotor de Alvarez y Tom Loeffler de K2 Promotions, llegaron a un acuerdo para anunciar el 5 de mayo la revancha.
La primera pelea del pasado 16 de septiembre, termino con una polemica devision devidida para el Campeon.
The rematch to last September’s highly anticipated showdown between undefeated middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin and lineal middleweight champ Saul «Canelo» Alvarez is set for May 5, Cinco de Mayo, it was announced Monday.
The site of Golovkin-Alvarez II is yet to be determined. Details regarding venue and tickets will be announced soon for the fight that will be televised on HBO Pay-Per-View beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
The deal was finalized Saturday night at the Forum in Inglewood, Calif., when Oscar De La Hoya, chairman and CEO of Golden Boy Promotions and Alvarez’s promoter, and Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions, which handles Golovkin, came to an agreement. Golden Boy fighters Lucas Matthysse and Jorge Linares each won world championship fights on Saturday at the Forum.
