In the final event on Key Biscayne prior to moving to a state-of-the-art facility at Hard Rock Stadium in 2019, the Miami Open’s 2018 official acceptance lists include 78 of the top 79 ranked men and 75 of the top 76 ranked women.
The player field features a combined 17 Grand Slam singles champions including Federer, who claimed his 20th major title at this year’s Australian Open, and Caroline Wozniacki who regained the World No. 1 ranking following her first Grand Slam title in Melbourne.
Serena Williams, who has won a record eight Miami Open singles titles, was granted a wildcard into the 2018 tournament. Following her Open Era record 23rd career Grand Slam title at the 2017 Australian Open, Williams missed the remainder of the season while preparing for the birth of her daughter.

Cilic is coming off a finals appearance at this year’s Australian Open.
